b- To search for the com port being used by the ECM connect the ECM to the PC using the supplied cable and set the key and kill switches to

the Run position.

c- Select the “Auto-Detect” button in the ECM Communications Port window. If the ECM is found the window below will open identifying

the port the ECM is connected to. Select OK to use this port and then select OK to exit the ECM Communications Port window.

d- If no ECM is detected a window similar to the one shown below will open identifying the available ports on the PC. Select OK to clear the

message and then verify serial cable connections and that both the key and kill switch are in the run position.

e- If communication issues persist, contact the manufacturer of your USB to serial converter to insure that the driver software was properly

installed.
